Bottle vase - Patinated brass - heron and flowers - Persia - Late 19th - early 20th century

Beautiful and unique in shape, a vase in patinated brass in gunmetal color from Persia. (now Iran since March 21, 1935)

All entirely hammer-engraved, in the classic "Ghalam Zani" technique used especially in Isfahan.

All arabesque motifs, while on the 4 circles on the belly, the image of a heron and flowers stands out.

In the last photo there is a lack of patina probably done to test if the metal was silver or patinated. (barely visible)
