Anthropomorphic bottle holder "The Crusader" - Spain - 1950/1960

Iconic hand-painted wooden bottle holder, of Spanish origin, called "Il Crociato"

In good condition with signs of time and seasoning of the wood that make the sculpture even more interesting!!

Signs and holes of woodworms, now no longer present, the wood is solid, it has been treated for safety with anti-woodworm and restorative oil to remove the dryness due to time.

A coat of carnauba wax was applied, without intentionally closing the woodworm holes as they are an aesthetically beautiful part of the bottle holder, and which gives the old Crociato an even more ancient appearance (see photo). circa 1950
