Winged Isis - Egyptian goddess in red granite from Aswan

In ancient Egyptian mythology, Isis was the goddess of magic, fertility and motherhood , one of the nine major deities of the Egyptian pantheon, while Osiris, her brother and husband, was the king of the underworld.

In Egyptian religion, the figure of Isis was associated with the constellation of Virgo.

Acquired by the heirs of an engineer who worked in the 1960s on the construction of the Aswan Dam

The statue of winged Isis in red granite from Aswan is 28 cm high, 32 cm wide and 7 cm deep. It weighs 1,600 kg.
