Damask brass flask, for liquor, of an officer in the time of the "British East India Company".
Liquors of English origin, Indian liquors being of poor quality both then and now.
The slightly curved shape of the flask was motivated by the need to keep it close to the body, the closure is screwed to ensure perfect closure.
It weighs 270gr. and was purchased about 20/25 years ago from an Indian gallery owner, and already had the sticker with the 18th century (CIRC A) written on it.
It has a slight dent on the front center, which is barely noticeable in the photos.
