In good condition with a small loss on the back of the tip (see last photo), and with a beautiful lived-in patina.
The metal detail behind the head of Christ represents the sun, the invincible sun, symbol of divinity, while the skull with the crossed tibias at the base represents Adam's skull, Golgotha, or Skull Hill, on which Jesus was crucified, was called this because it was said that the skull of the first man was buried there.
It is to remember that death entered the world because of "original sin, and was placed at the base so that the blood of the redeemer could flow from the redeemer upon the first father guilty of the first sin"
It comes from a small French shop in the antiques district of Nice, bought about 15/20 years ago.
