Bell - Bronze - Hanuman - Temple Instrument - India - mid 20th century
In excellent condition, see description - 29×10×10 cm
Rare Hindu Temple Bell depicting Hanuman the monkey deity General in battle with Vishnu.
Rare because the bell body is commonly domed but not with beaks, of which there are 15.
Bell can be used both as a support and as a weight. ( approximately 165 0gr)
Hanuman is the personification of wisdom, brahmacharya, bhakti (devotion/faith), justice, honesty and strength; this is manifested in his unwavering commitment to righteousness, flawless execution of the tasks entrusted to him, and unfailing talent in serving his chosen master.
There is no blessing he cannot bestow.
Very nice piece with significant age-related patina.
