The Bayon Temple was built in the late 12th or early 13th century with the exact date unknown. It was built well after Angkor Wat by about a century and although it was not the last temple built at Angkor, it was certainly the last of the great state temples to be built.
This hand-carved Cambodian stone sculpture is absolutely stunning, featuring four serene faces set on a base, each beautifully carved.
This representation of Vishnu's consort , is one of the most recognizable deities among the Asian ones.
In excellent condition, with very slight signs of wear due to age. (at least 80 years)
